I led UI design, and contributed to UX story for Chrysler’s 2024 concept vehicle, Halcyon. I proposed initial concepts, provided design directions, and worked closely with the Vectorform, Mandrake.tv, exterior, interior, and brand team, ensuring alignment with the project vision.
Concept Proposal
I presented the concept vehicle experience theme to the CEO and brand team of Chrysler, proposing the idea of viewing a vehicle as a "friend" rather than an item. This approach highlighted how AI can foster deeper connections through initiating conversations and playful interactions. The idea was well-received.
Storyboard for Teaser Video
I illustrated how these concepts could enhance the driving experience, detailing camera movements and audio cues for the reveal video. Each scene emphasized features the brand team prioritized, and this storyboard was provided to Mandrake.tv as a foundational asset.
Tweaking the personality of the AI and exchanging multilingual jokes with your car sounds pretty fun, right?
UI Design
After storyboarding, I designed wireframes and developed styleframes and interaction concepts in Figma, After Effects, and Cinema 4D to guide the Unity prototype created by Vectorform. I also coordinated with Mandrake.tv to deliver polished UI assets for the concept video."
Final Delivery
Weekly iterations involved designing, testing prototypes, and delivering assets while managing communications between internal teams and external agencies. This challenging but rewarding project reinforced the importance of clear communication as a designer and leader. Moving forward, I aim to improve as a communicator and organizer in similar roles.
