Lunar Gala is an interdisciplinary fashion show featuring diverse designers under a unified theme. As Head of Motion, I led the motion team in creating 3D and animated visuals that embodied the concept of a "puzzle cube," representing individual creativity while achieving thematic harmony.
Defining Concept
Many designers present their lines under the annual theme, at Lunar Gala. Because of this, the biggest challenge for this project was “how do we diversify, but with harmony?”.To align with the theme of diverse yet unified designs, we conceptualized a cube puzzle where each line contributed a unique piece to a cohesive whole.
Theme Reveal
We had to progressively reveal the theme leading up to the show date. I proposed going from wireframes to filled materials, symbolizing the construction process, and designed assets for online, print, and web platforms.
Template files and layers distributed for each team member to explore with

Line Videos
As the motion team lead, I wanted to find ways for everyone to have creative freedom. Leading a team new to Cinema 4D, I created tutorials and templates, facilitating creative exploration while providing guidance during weekly progress reviews. We communicated with designers for each clothing line to make sure visuals are aligned with their intentions as well.
Final Backdrops
Finalize & Deliver
When delivering the final show backdrop assets, I rendered a lot of motion team’s work and retouch them due to computing power limitations. I rendered and optimized assets within hardware constraints, achieving a balance between quality and feasibility. The project’s collaborative and leadership challenges deepened my appreciation for managing creative teams and fostering growth.
